tool quiz open conferenceTOWARDS NEW DEVELOPMENT MODELS FOR REGIONAL POLICIES IN EUROPE ?
After more than one year of observation, exchange and analysis of practices between partners, TOOL QUIZ network organizes an "Open Conference" the 8th and 9th December 2011 at the Palais des Academies in Brussels.
This conference is organized with the support of the INTERREG IVC programme which enables Regions of Europe to work together to improve the effectiveness of regional development policies.
It will be inaugurated by the partners institutions organizing this event with three representatives from :
- the Flemish Community of Belgium
- the Wallonia-Brussels Federation
- the Nord-Pas de Calais Regional Council.
The conference will present analysis from the project on the link between regional policies and practices in the context of Culture, Development and Human Capacities. There will be an opportunity to share ideas and debate these issues; in particular to examine what role the regions could play in investing in Culture with regard to human sustainable development in Europe.
Aimed in particular at european and regional elected-members, decision-makers, and cultural actors, the conference will examine the way we build public policies through the draft TOOL QUIZ Public Policy Guide and in the context of the current European negotiations of the EU 2020 strategy and the main global challenges.
The morning of the 8 December will be dedicated to the political inauguration and the afternoon are organized three thematic seminars. The first one will be focusing on “Art & Human development “ issues, the second on the question of “Art as regards Human Development” and the third seminar will be dedicated on deepening the link between “Human Developmen, Culture and social economy”. 7 GOOD PRACTICES that will be transferred between partners’regions from Rogaland, Silesia, Castilla-La Mancha, Nord – Pas-de-Calais, Wales, Wallonie and Flanders will be officially presented at this occasion.
