French Community of Belgium
Belgium is composed of three Regions (Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels-Capital Region) which are responsible for all matters relating to economic and three Communities which are distinguished by the language (the Flemish-speaking Community, the French-speaking community and the German-speaking Community).
The French-speaking Community of Belgium handles all matters allocated by the Constitution and the institutional reforms laws concerning this level of power, i.e. in short, matters related to the person and the practice of language. To ensure the achievement of its missions, the French Community has a Parliament, a Government and public services (the Ministry of French speaking Community, the National Office for Children, Radio Télévision Belge Francophone, Wallonia-Brussels International …). More specifically, within the Ministry, the General Administration of Culture manages the overall cultural competence: Performing Arts (theater, music, dance), Cultural Heritage, Visual Arts, Letters and Book (Promotion of Language, libraries), Youth and Continuing Education, Digital Arts.
